  Absolutely run from this company.They provide poor service and do not honor claims.A total bush league out fit.Lost my house with all contents-no help from them.No compassion or fair play.This is a total waste of any ones money to get insurance with them.Go to any other company you can find.

  I just had a horrible experience with a Claim through Saskatchewan Mutual. We have several properties insured with them and unfortunately we had a small electrical fire in the master bathroom fan that shorted out and burst into flames causing approximately 2000 worth of damage. Saskatchewan Mutual assigned the claim to a Calgary based company called ClaimsPro who are anything but professional. One the claim was reported, they responded to the scene quick enough and had the contractors quote and booked for the job only to lose the file, cancel the contractors and somehow lose all our contact information until we started complaining. Scott Burgess was the adjuster on this claim and finally after 30 days is offering me $600 to go away. We are not contractors and we spend over 8000 per year in premiums with Saskatchewan Mutual and certainly expected and deserve better customer service that what is represented here. Shame on you. Yes there is no doubt they have attractive premiums but I am not sure it is worth the crappy customer service. All I know is that I am shopping for a different company on renewal.

  I've had to deal with SMI 3 times in one year and every time has been quick, pleasant and ended up being a way easier experience that I had anticipated. Very good customer service. Haven't run into any wait times.
